Day 01

Arrive in Sri Lanka and you will be welcomed by the representatives of Asian Escapes and transfer to Negombo. Check in at your hotel in Negombo.

In the evening you will be able to meet the hotel Chef to discuss about the sea food dishes and their preparation. Enjoy the sea food dinner and overnight stay at your hotel in Negombo.

Day 02

Early morning, visit Negombo fish market which has earned itself a strong reputation for providing scrumptious seafood in Sri Lanka. Back at the hotel for breakfast and leave for Habarana after breakfast. Visit gigantic Sigiriya Rock Fortress before you check in at your hotel in Habarana.

In the evening you will be able to meet the chef and discuss about your dinner. Enjoy your dinner & overnight stay at your hotel in Habarana.

Day 03

After enjoying your breakfast at the hotel, we will go for a trek in Hiriwadunna authentic village. This trek consist of walk, bullock cart ride and a catamaran ride. You will be able to experience the countryside and the local traditional cooking.

You will be able to help the villagers to prepare your lunch. Back at the hotel and proceed to Kandy. Visit a Spice & Herbal Garden in Matale before you reach Kandy. Dinner and overnight stay at your hotel in Kandy.

Day 04

Leave for Pinnawala to visit Elephant Orphanage in which more than 70 orphaned elephants and baby calves are being taken care of.Experience their play in the river and experience the bottle feeding of baby elephants and back to Kandy.

Visit the Kandy Market & buy some vegetables and ingredients for the cooking lesson. In the midafternoon, you will be able to attend a cooking lesson which would be conducted in the Hotel itself. Get exposed to the local methods of preparing/ marinating food before cook. Enjoy the hearty meal prepared by you.

In the evening you will visit Kandy Temple of Sacred Tooth Relic and a cultural show. If you are really keen, you will be able to visit an art & craft centre and a Gem lapidary to search for souvenirs. Dinner and overnight stay at your hotel in Kandy.

Day 05

Visit Peradeniya Royal Botanical Garden after breakfast. Leave for Nuwara Eliya. Your journey to Nuwara Eliya will be a break taking one which will drive through fascinating landscapes, cascading waterfalls and endless tea plantations.

You will stop at a tea plantation and a tea factory to witness the process of making world renowned Ceylon Tea. Proceed to Nuwara Eliya and check in at your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 06

Proceed to Tissamaharama after breakfast.  Stop at Rawana Waterfalls to break the journey. Check in at your hotel in Tissa.

In the evening you will be able to meet your chef, visit the home garden, pick the vegetables & ingredients of your choice for your evening soup and later help your chef to prepare your soup in the evening. Enjoy the soup you prepared yourselves, have the dinner and overnight stay at your hotel in Tissa

Day 07

Today will be one of the most exciting days of your journey.  Enjoy an array of traditional Sri Lankan food for the breakfast. We will visit a local village after breakfast.

You will visit a Chaina Cultivation where the crops are grown, experience the authentic way of preparing food, taste local food and experience a live cooking demonstration of preparing a local sweet snack in a village house. Back at your hotel in the evening. Your dinner will be a hearty BBQ meal where you will be able to enjoy it on the bank of the lake. Overnight stay at your hotel in Tissa.

Day 08

Leave for Galle after breakfast at your hotel. Visit Gall Fort; one of the UNESCO World Heritage sites in Sri Lanka. Check in at your hotel.

Rest of the day at leisure or in the evening you are free to walk in the vicinity to experience the local life. Dinner and overnight stay at your hotel in Galle.

Day 09

Leave for an excursion into a local village after breakfast. In this excursion you will be able to experience the local village life and experience the authentic methods of preserving food. Also you will be able to taste one of the signature dishes to the southern part of the county call Fish Ambulthiyal (a fish curry).

A visit to Folk Museum in Galle will be another unique experience in this tour. Proceed to Colombo and check in your hotel in Colombo. If you are lucky enough, you will be able to meet one of the Sri Lanka’s famous chefs; Dr.Pabilis Silva at Mount Lavinia Hotel. Go for a city tour in Colombo in the evening. Your dinner will be arranged at a Seafood Restaurant in Colombo. Overnight stay at your hotel in Colombo.

Day 10

After collecting remarkable birding experience in Sri Lanka, you will be transferred to the Bandaranaike International Airport to connect your departure flight.
