TOUR ITINERARY
Day 01
Arrive in Sri Lanka and you will be welcomed by the representatives of Asian Escapes and transfer to Negombo. Check in at your hotel in Negombo.
Rest of the day at leisure on the Beach.
Day 02
Leave for Sigiriya after breakfast. Visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage enroute. Witness the river bath of Elephants and the bottle feeding of milk to the baby elephants and proceed to Sigiriya.
Visit Dambulla Cave Temple in which hundreds of Buddha Statues and wall paintings can be seen. Check in at your hotel in Sigiriya for overnight stay.
Day 03
Optional: Hot Air Balloon Ride in Dambulla. This will be an hour ride over the skies of Kandalama and the villages which enables you to have a birds’ eye view of the village & the wilderness.
Visit Sigiriya Rock Fortress after breakfast. Witness the engineering marvels of the ancestors and back to foothills. Leave for Kandy. Stop at Matale to visit a spice garden inwhich local spices and herbs are grown. Further you will be able to experience traditional cooking methods & experience some items of traditional village lifestyle. Proceed to Kandy and check in at your hotel. In the evening you will be taken on a city tour including a visit to most venerable Temple of Sacred tooth relic and a cultural show. Back at your hotel for overnight stay.
Day 04
After breakfast, you will visit Peradeniya Botanical Garden which is considered as the royal garden on Kandyan Kingdom; the last kingdom of Sri Lanka. Around noon you will be transferred to Peradeniya Railway Station where you will do a train ride to Nanuoya.
This will enable you to capture the fascinating views of misty mountains, scenic landscapes, tea estates and waterfalls. You will meet your driver at Nanuoya Railway Station where you will be taken to NuwaraEliya.
Check in at your hotel. In the evening you will be able to explore the town on your own. Overnight stay at your hotel in NuwaraEliya.
Day 05
Leave for Yala after breakfast. Stop at Ella Gap to capture the fascinating views of the southern part of the country being in the edge of the Hill Country. Rawana Waterfall is another place to stop over and capture the glamorous views and drive to Yala.
Check in at your hotel. In the evening you will be taken to Yala National Park for a Safari drive. This national park is famous for the highest density of leopards in the world. The other big shots are Asian elephants and Sloth Bears while crocodiles, deer, jackals, buffalos, wild boars etc… are the other animals could be seen. This is also a paradise for the bird lovers. Back at the hotel upon finishing the jeep safari for overnight stay.
Day 06
After the breakfast at the hotel, you will be taken transferred to Mirissa. Guests embark on board of the sail at 3.30 p.m in Mirissa harbour for a duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes up to the sunset.
The dedicated crew serves you anaperitif with snacks followed by a sea food diner while the catamarananchors in the sumptuous and calm bay of Weligama. Spend the night under the millions of stars on the Indian Ocean.
Day 07
The crew sets sail at dawn to bring guests close to the whales. At 7 a.m, guests are awaken and are invited to observe these magnificent cetaceans while enjoying breakfast with fresh fruits and exquisite Ceylon tea. At noon, lunch is served while arriving in the beautiful beach of Mirissa where guests can enjoy a swim and some Stand up Paddle board. After the lunch you will be driven to Colombo.
Stop at Galle to visit Galle Dutch Fort which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Witness the Colonial architecture and spend couple of hours at the Galle Fort. Proceed to Colombo and check in at the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 08
After breakfast & transfer to the Bandaranayke International Airport for the flight back depending your flight schedule.
