TOUR ITINERARY
Day 01
Arrive in Sri Lanka and you will be welcomed by the representatives of Asian Escapes and transfer to Chilaw. Check in at the hotel.
Visit Munneshwaram Temple and Mannavari Temple in Chilaw which are two of the famous Ramayana sites in Sri Lanka.
Back at the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 02
Leave for Sigiriya after breakfast. Visit Dambulla Cave Temple which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that has five caves full of Buddha Statues and wall paintings. Check in at your hotel in Sigiriya.
Visit Sigiriya Rock fortress in the evening.
Back at the hotel in the evening for overnight stay.
Day 03
After breakfast at Hotel proceed to Trincomalee and visit Thiru Koneshwaram Temple & Shankari Devi Temple in Trincomalee.
Visit Hot Water Springs in Kinniya on your way back to Sigiriya.
Overnight stay at your hotel in Sigiriya.
Day 04
Proceed to Kandy after breakfast. Stop at Matale and visit Sri Muttumari Amman Temple in Matale. Also pay a visit to a Spice Garden in Matale which grows spices and herbs.
Continue to Kandy and check in at your Hotel. In the evening you will be taken on a city tour to isit Temple of Sacred Tooth Relic; which is the most venerated place in Sri Lanka.
In the late evening you can experience a cultural show.
Back at the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 05
After breakfast proceed to Nuwara Eliya.
Visit Sri Baktha Hanuman Temple in Ramboda & Mani Kattuther at Labookelle Estate. Proceed to Nuwara Eliya and check in at your Hotel.
Visit Gayatri peedam in Nuwara Eliya.
Back to the Hotel for overnight stay.
Day 06
Leave for Ella after breakfast. Visit Sita Amman Temple which is believed to be a place that Sitadevi was kept hidden by King Ravana. Also visit Hakgala Botanical Garden which is a few kilometers away from Sita Amman Temple and this is believed to be Ashoka Vatika of the Ramayana Story.
Continue to Ella. Visit Divurumpola which is the place that Sitadevi underwent the “Agni Pariksha” a test to prove her chastity by offering herself to the fire. Continue to Ella & check in at the hotel.
Visit Ravana Ella & Ravana Cave in the evening.
Back at the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 07
Leave for Galle after breakfast. On this day you will have the option of going for a Safari drive in Udawalawe National Park which is famous for large herds of Asian Elephants which could be seen throughout the tour.
Visit Ussangoda which is said to be used as the Airport when taking of the “Dandumonara” by Kind Ravana.
Continue to Galle. Visit Roomassala which is believed to be the chunk of the mountain of medicinal herbs which brought by Hanuman from Himalayan Mountains to heal the wounded princes.
Check in at your hotel in Galle for overnight stay.
Day 08
Leave for Colombo after breakfast. Visit Galle Dutch Fort which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Continue to Colombo.
Visit Kelaniya Temple which is said to be built by King Vibheeshana, the brother of King Ravana and was coronated by Lakshmana. Check in at the hotel in Colombo. Go for a City tour in Colombo.
This includes a visit to Panchamuga Anjaneayer Temple in Kalubowila which is the only temple in the world have a chariot for Anjaneayer.
Back at the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 09
Leave for Bandaranaike International Airport to connect with the departure flight depending on your flight schedule.
